How to Get Rid of Gnats in My Home?

I've been dealing with a gnat invasion in my home, and it's driving me nuts! I've already tackled the fruit situation, but I still find these little pests buzzing around, even in my bedroom. Has anyone else experienced this? I heard they might come up from drains, as my work maintenance guy suggested. I'm looking for practical solutions, especially since I live in southern Arizona. What have you done to get rid of gnats?

I found an easy homemade trap that works wonders! Take an old container, clean it out, then mix 2 tablespoons of sugar, a drop of dish soap, and hot water. Just make sure not to go crazy with the stirring to avoid too many bubbles. Place it where you usually see the gnats, and it should start attracting them quickly!

This year was really bad for gnats around my place, so I ended up getting these blue light plug-in traps. They use glue cards to catch the bugs, and they’re super effective without being noisy. Just plug them in and let them do their thing! Just make sure to get generic replacement cards from Amazon. It's been such a relief for me, honestly.

Have you tried using sticky traps? They’re a simple and effective way to catch them. Also, gnats aren’t fans of mint, so maybe try placing some mint leaves around your home! It could help keep them at bay.
