How to Get Squirrels Out of My Attic Without Damaging My Roof?

I just moved into a house that really needs some repair work, and I've discovered that there are squirrels nesting in the attic. I'm looking for some effective recommendations on how to remove them without putting any holes in my roof — shooting them is definitely not an option for me. I also can't see any visible holes to figure out how they're getting in. Any help would be appreciated!

Consider hiring a professional service. They can install a sturdy steel gauge to block off entry points and use one-way gates, allowing the squirrels to leave but not return. That worked for me after dealing with them for months! They also seal up the holes afterward, which is a big relief.

You might want to try using animal traps and check them daily to catch the squirrels safely. Make sure to release them outside. Also, it’s a good idea to find where they’re getting in. On a sunny day, go into your attic and look for any spots where light is shining through. It might help you pinpoint their entry points. Once you figure that out, make sure to seal those holes tight!

Yeah, sealing up the holes is crucial! Otherwise, it’ll just be a never-ending cycle of them finding their way back in.
