I've got a single bathroom in my house and I'm planning to do a DIY remodel. I know it could take a few days, especially if I'm tiling the floor and have to remove the toilet. How do you guys manage limited access to the bathroom during the remodel? I can use the kitchen sink and showers at the gym, no problem, but the toilet situation is worrying me. Are people seriously resorting to outdoor solutions?

One way to get through it is by using a bucket and a trash bag. Not the most glamorous option, but it definitely motivates you to get that toilet back in place quickly!
You can also manage the process by planning ahead. Remove the flooring and set the toilet back in place on the subfloor when you're done for the day. You can quickly replace the wax ring, which is affordable, and tile around it during the day. Good for spacing too!
If you need to remove the toilet for a few days, consider just using a portable solution like a port-a-potty. You can set one up in your driveway—definitely a lifesaver during a remodel!

Yeah, I've heard there are rubber alternatives for wax rings that you can reuse. Having a couple on hand is smart!
