I'm currently fixing up my apartment and noticed a small chip on one of the two radiators while getting ready to paint it. When I pulled at the chip, some rust was revealed, which made me stop because I thought about the possibility of lead paint, especially since this building is from 1947. I've been painting the radiator for the past 14 years, but it has never looked this rusted underneath layers of paint. I'd love to know how to properly fix the rust and repaint it.
