Hey everyone! I have a GE gas stove and my range hood measures 19" deep with a single fan in the center. The problem is that my front burner is about 5 to 6 inches away from the hood, and I often find smoke escaping into the kitchen and other areas. The range hood is ducted outside, and I've recently cleaned the mesh filters. What would be the best solution to handle this smoke issue? Should I look for a deeper hood or something else?

Yeah, smoke doesn’t just go straight up. You might want to switch to a more effective range hood if you're frequently having issues. Finding one that fits better over the burners can make a big difference!
It sounds like you might need a more powerful fan for your hood. Consider getting one with a higher CFM rating to really tackle that smoke. Also, cracking a window can help bring in fresh air, especially if your home is well-sealed.
