I'm stuck trying to finish installing my LVT flooring around a door trim. The piece that's supposed to fit around the trim isn't installed well because my sister-in-law had trouble getting a properly cut piece to slide and latch. Should I just trim down the little nubs on the lips and glue a correctly cut piece in, or is there a better method that I'm missing?

I’d recommend undercutting your door jambs first. This makes it a lot easier to install the LVT without having to wrestle with awkward angles. It might take some extra time, but you’ll get a cleaner finish! You can find some guides online to show you how it's done.
If you're trying to lock the plank in place and it’s conflicting with the trim, you usually have two choices: either cut it so it’s a bit shy of the trim and add a quarter round later, or take the piece off entirely and restart. Remember that you can't slide in the far sides under the trim, just the first pieces you lay down.
Good tip! I’ve heard it makes a huge difference, just be sure to measure twice before cutting!
