I recently upgraded to a proper shop vac for dust extraction in my workshop, and while it fits my tools better than my old vacuum, I struggle with keeping the hose in the right position when I'm using tools like my multi-tool or handsaw. Sometimes I even use an old house vac as an extra to catch dust, which requires me to find a good way to position the hose. I've tried clamping it and wrapping it with a tie wrap, but gravity and movement often cause it to shift during use, which is really frustrating. How do you all handle this challenge?

I got a 20ft flexible dust extraction hose online that works wonders. It’s lightweight and comes with plenty of attachments, so I don’t have to mess around with adapters anymore. For $55, it was a great buy—just wish I didn’t have to switch back to the regular hose for the table saw!
I use baling wire to create loops around the hose and then attach it to the rafters with bungee cords. I also clamp it near the tool I'm using. It's not the prettiest setup, but it does the job!
I haven't tried this myself, but I imagine making a stand could help. Think of a two-triangle setup with a hole in the middle for the hose. You could weight it down to keep it from wobbling. You might even find some plans on Thingiverse for a 3D printed version if you have a printer close by.

Hey, KC_Jay, can you share a link to that hose? It sounds perfect for what I need!
