I have a utility room in my basement that's uncarpeted, and the concrete floor gets super cold, especially during winter. I want to make it more comfortable for my bare feet since I frequently go in there for laundry and other chores. I've thought about using a few area rugs or maybe those foam puzzle tiles, but I'm looking for more ideas. Any suggestions on how to keep my feet off the cold floor? Consider some warm wool slippers; they really help insulate your feet from the cold concrete. I wear slipper socks lined with shearling, and I can tell a big difference even on hardwood floors!

If you're looking for something more permanent, have you thought about putting down some indoor/outdoor carpet?
