I'm helping my mom redesign her laundry room to make it more user-friendly since she's only 5'2". We're lowering the shelf and adding a hanging bar, but I'm stuck on what to do with the awkward side space. Any ideas? Another option could be to close off that side area and create shelving or a closet on the other side by opening the wall. It could give you extra storage, which would be great!
That side space is definitely tricky! Have you considered using stackable units on the far left? It might let you use that awkward area as a small walk-in space for laundry supplies. You might need some plumbing adjustments, though.
Good point! I'll definitely check on plumbing quotes, thanks!
One idea is to rotate the dryer and push it further back into that side space. Just keep in mind you’ll need to figure out the vent situation. It could work!

An extra closet would really help! I love that idea!
