I'm eager to start a flower and vegetable garden, but I'm struggling with really bad pollen allergies during the summer months. I know that my garden will be outdoors, so I'll be surrounded by flowers. Allergy meds haven't been very effective for me this time of year, so I'm hoping to find some solid advice or tips to help manage my pollen allergies while I'm working in my garden. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I can totally relate to your struggle with pollen allergies! I've been suffering from them since childhood, and the last couple of years have been particularly rough for me. I'm actually starting allergy drops soon, which are supposed to desensitize me to pollen over time. They work like allergy shots but can be done at home. While this won't solve your immediate issues, it could really help in the long run! Just wish I had started sooner!
I appreciate the tip! I’m definitely going to look into it, thanks for sharing!
One simple thing you can try is wearing a mask while you garden! A regular mask can help filter out some of the pollen. Those specific masks used for spraying also have filters and work really well, though they might be a bit inconvenient for longer periods. It’s not the most comfortable, but it can definitely help reduce your symptoms!
Thanks for the tip! I’ll give that a shot, it sounds practical!

The last two years have been tough for everyone with allergies, that’s for sure!
