Hey everyone! I'm in the process of replacing three posts in my garden and have bought 6 bags of postcrete. I've dug the holes to the recommended size, and it suggests using two bags per hole. The instructions say to fill each hole with a third of water, but I'm a bit confused. Should I pour in two-thirds of the water for two bags, or just one-third of water, add the two bags, and then gradually top off with water? Any guidance would be great!

Here’s a tip: Once you’ve got the post set, pour in about half the concrete first and mix it with some water to get a good texture. Then check the post is plumb, add the rest of the concrete, saturate again, and you should be all set!
I totally get your confusion! When they say to fill with a third of water, that ratio works no matter how many bags you're using. So, if you’re planning on using two bags, just fill the hole with one-third of water as directed, then add both bags. You’ll be fine!
You don't need to overthink it too much. Just remember, whether you're using one or two bags, that one-third water rule applies. Fill with one-third, pour in the two bags, then you can top it off a bit if needed. Also, don't forget to mix it a little as you go to avoid any voids!
Exactly! You’re on the right track. It's all about keeping that water to mix ratio consistent.
