How to Paint the Exterior of My Mobile Home on a Budget?

I've been given a 15-day deadline by my HOA to repaint the exterior of my mobile home, but hiring a professional is out of my budget, and I'm not the best painter. I'm looking for advice on what supplies I need, what type of paint to use, and any tips you might have to make the process smoother. Thanks in advance!

You might want to check out some recycling centers nearby since they often give away free exterior paint. They usually have a selection of colors like grey and brown, which can work well. Depending on your siding, washing it thoroughly is a must! A bit of light sanding would help, but I get that you’re on a tight schedule and budget. Just make sure to get the heavy debris off. If you can find some exterior primer, that would definitely help the paint stick better, but you’ll need a good amount of it.

Is your home aluminum-sided? I haven’t painted a mobile home, but I did paint a shed with aluminum siding, and it turned out great with just a cheap 5-gallon bucket of paint! It covered rust and made everything look so much better. I’d recommend hitting up Lowe’s or Home Depot for a paint roller with an extension handle, a paint tray, and a brush for the edges. Also, maybe post a pic of your home? If it just needs cleaning, you could use a cheap cleaner that attaches to a garden hose instead!

[Here's a pic of my home.](https://imgur.com/a/EndkzSX) They want it painted because it’s looking a bit rough around the edges.
