How to Plant a Tree in a Pot for My Dog’s Ashes?

I'm looking to plant a tree in a pot in my garden to scatter my dog's ashes after cremation. This would mean I can take the tree with me when we move. I'm not very experienced with gardening, so I would love any tips on the size of the plant pot I should use, what type of tree would be best, and how to care for it properly. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

For a fruit tree, I’d recommend starting with a pot that’s around 40 to 50 cm in diameter. Eventually, you can move it to a bigger 60 cm pot. Those are minimum sizes, especially if you're choosing a dwarf or semi-dwarf variety. If you're looking at ultra dwarf or patio trees, you might be able to go a bit smaller, but I wouldn't suggest that for the best results.

That info is great, thanks! Do you have any specific fruit tree recommendations that would thrive well in a pot?
