How to power a 5V Micro USB device with a 9V power supply?

I'm trying to integrate a Moukey Mini MAMX1 mini audio mixer into my guitar effects pedalboard, which currently runs on a 9V barrel connector power supply. Is there a way to step down the 9V to 5V to power the mixer via its micro USB port? Any recommendations for converters or solutions would be greatly appreciated!

You might also want to consider using a car USB adapter from a dollar store. Some of them can handle 9V and will step the voltage down to 5V as needed.

Yeah, check out this specific module I've used before: [Droking 9V-5V Buck Converter](https://www.droking.com/power-supply-module-dc-9v-36v-to-5.2v-5a-double-output-buck-converter-usb-charger-voltage-regulator-adapter-driver-module). It's designed for just this kind of setup!

Absolutely! You can use a 9V to 5V USB converter cable or a DC-DC buck converter module to step the voltage down for your device. They're quite simple to use and should do the trick perfectly!

Thanks for the tip! Could you share some pics or links to the converter you're talking about?

Definitely, car USB phone chargers can work with 9V sources to output the 5V you need.
