I'm growing mammoth dill for the first time and want to know how to dry it properly for pickling. I also have Wisconsin 58 and Chicago Pickling cucumbers this year. Any tips on how to save the dill's flavor and essential oils? Right now, I have some drying on my patio in the sun, but I'm not sure if that's the best approach.

I’ve heard that sun drying can really wreck your dill! It’s better to dry it in full shade to keep those essential oils and flavor intact. Sun can fade the color and nutrients too. Just something to keep in mind for next time!

Thanks for the tip! I'm hoping just a short afternoon in the sun won't ruin it.
