I just got a couple of new 20V 8Ah Parkside smart batteries and I'm looking for some solid advice on how to care for them when they're not in use. I want to avoid any mistakes to ensure they last as long as possible. Here are a few specific questions I have:
1. Is it true that I should avoid completely discharging them? Should I stop using them before they get too low, let them cool down, and then charge them?
2. When I'm done using them and don't plan on using them for a few days, what should their charge level be?
3. Should I keep them in a warm, dry place for storage? Definitely no freezing garage, right?
4. Any other tips I might be missing?
Thanks in advance!

For storage, aim for a cool, dry, dark place with them about 60% charged. My smart charger even has a button specifically for this purpose, so it’s super easy! Just keep an eye on the charge level if you plan to leave them sitting for a while. That should keep them in good shape!
You definitely want to avoid extreme temperatures! I learned the hard way when my brother borrowed my circular saw and left the battery too close to a radiator. It never charged again. Make sure to keep your batteries out of direct sunlight as well when you’re using the tools. I usually just keep mine stored on a shelf in my unheated shed; I don’t fully charge them but leave some charge for safety. You might want to check the booklet that comes with your batteries for the best storage conditions too!

Isn't Erbauer supposed to be more affordable? I always thought it was similar to Parkside in terms of performance.
