I'm trying my hand at growing Cocozelle zucchinis this year and could use some advice on how to prune them. I've only dealt with vining zucchinis before, which I'd train up vertically, trimming lower leaves as they grew. But with bush varieties like Cocozelle that don't grow upwards, I'm unsure about the right pruning techniques—other than removing yellow or diseased leaves. I've searched around and haven't found much guidance, so any tips would be greatly appreciated!

I grew Cocozelle a couple of years ago in a pot, and honestly, I never pruned it at all. It stayed pretty small, probably because the container limited its growth. But even without pruning, I still had those moments where I'd find a giant zucchini hiding in there—it's always a surprise! So don’t stress too much about pruning; they can thrive without much interference.

I totally relate! I feel like you always miss one until it’s a monster. My Cocozelle has such prickly leaves that I got scratched just trying to remove some yellow ones!
