I was super excited for this summer and really organized about what I wanted to grow. I had everything all set up, but after a few weeks of unrelated issues, I just lost my motivation. Now, I'm feeling overwhelmed and my garden's suffering because I'm not keeping up with things like harvesting and watering.
I have this gorgeous new hydrangea 'Euphoria Pink' that I can't wait to plant, but it's still in the pot from delivery! Has anyone else felt like this? What did you do to get back into gardening? Is it just a matter of waiting? Any tips would be appreciated!

Burnout is real, and it’s okay to step back. Just do what you can without feeling guilty! Sometimes a break is exactly what you need.
Why not take just 10 minutes to sit in your garden? Grab a drink, sit back, and let everything else go. You might find that just being there inspires you to do little things, like pulling a few weeds or watering a plant. Sometimes, just connecting with your space can reignite your motivation. Good luck!
I’ve been there too! Once, I got really busy with work and couldn’t garden for weeks, and it bummed me out when some plants died. But then I saw my spring onions still thriving, which got me back in the game! Sometimes it just takes a little spark to remind you why you started.
I went through a similar phase last year. I decided to be easy on myself; gardening should be fun, not stressful. I started by just enjoying time in my garden with a cup of tea, doing little things at my own pace. Every small task helped me ease back into it. Remember, you can always try again next year!
Honestly, if gardening isn’t bringing you joy right now, don’t stress about it. Maybe try focusing on some low-maintenance plants that require less effort. As for that hydrangea, don’t sweat it—it can chill in its pot for a while. Plants are pretty resilient! Hope you start feeling better soon! ?
I love gardening, but my schedule doesn’t always allow for it. I choose plants that are super easy to care for, and I go with the flow. It feels good when people notice the garden, and all the little imperfections don’t bother me as much as the compliments do!
