How to Remove Acrylic Paint from Walls Without Repainting?

I regret putting acrylic paint on my wall after a night of drinking. Now, I'm looking for the best ways to remove it without having to repaint the whole wall. Any tips?

Why not repaint? If you really want to get rid of the paint, consider using a steamer, though it’ll take a while. Sanding it down with a vacuum attachment could help control the dust too. If you decide to repaint, invest in a high-quality primer made for this type of paint.

Since it's a rental, I guess you might have to end up repainting anyway.

If the wall has an acrylic base coat too, anything you use to dissolve the paint might affect that layer as well. You could give 'The Masters Artist Soap' a shot with a sponge and a ton of patience, but honestly, drunk decisions can lead to sober headaches!

Repainting would definitely be the easiest route to take. If you're set on removing it, you could try sanding it off with 120 grit sandpaper, but it’ll be a long process if there's a lot of paint. Just a heads up, you may still need to repaint afterward.
