Hey everyone! I applied some DIY window tint to my ground floor bay windows a few years back, and now that I'm moving out, I'm trying to remove it. The problem is that I've ended up with a really stubborn layer of sticky film that's left behind after the tint came off. I've tried using orange cleaner, soap and water, acetone, and even WD-40, but nothing seems to budge this residue. Does anyone have suggestions for good methods or products to dissolve this sticky film off the glass? Thanks in advance!

I had the same issue before! The best solution I found was to use a clothes steamer along with a window scraper that has a sharp blade. Just be cautious and don’t use the steamer on cold glass—it really helps lift that stubborn residue off. It took a bit of time, so grab a stool and get comfy!
Haha, definitely a sticky situation! I used to think WD-40 was the answer to everything! Good luck sorting that out. It's just like those old, annoying stickers that never come off your lunchbox! ?
You might want to try Goof Off or Goo Gone—those are much stronger than citrus cleaners. They usually do the trick for sticky stuff like this!
