How to Remove White Paint from Pink Tiles?

I just bought a house where the previous owners painted over some gorgeous pink tiles with white paint, and I'm really hoping to restore the original look. Does anyone have tips or methods to effectively remove this paint and reveal the beautiful tiles underneath?

I had a similar situation with pink tiles from the '40s. When the pros did it, they scratched the surface before applying the epoxy layers. A window scraper could work for you too, but just a heads up, the tiles might not look as great as you hope after the paint is gone!

Yeah, just prepare for the possibility that the tiles might need a little TLC after. But it’s worth a shot to see what’s underneath!

You might want to try Citristrip—it works well! Just apply it and put in some elbow grease to get the paint off. It can be a bit labor-intensive, but it’s pretty effective.

Using a paint stripper is definitely the fastest way to go about this. I recommend getting Citristrip in a spray bottle since it makes covering large areas super easy. Just spray, wait, and scrape!
