I'm in the process of buying a house and I'm really not a fan of the built-in stove setup. The main issue is that the stove is integrated into the cabinets, and I'm wondering if there's an easier way to remove it without ruining the cabinets. Is it possible to just cut it out and then seal the edges of the cabinets? Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

It sounds like you have a drop-in stove there, which are usually smaller and more expensive than freestanding ones. What I suggest is cutting out the bottom of the cabinet to make space for a freestanding range. You'd likely want to have an electrician come in to install a plug, and just make sure the new range fits, usually around 30 inches wide. That way, you won’t have to deal with squeezing in a drop-in stove with limited options and high costs.
If you're considering keeping a drop-in, you can definitely find replacements, but they can be limited and pricier. If you switch to a freestanding model, you'll have a bit more flexibility in terms of options available on the market. Make sure you measure the space and maybe discuss with a pro about any necessary cabinet adjustments.
