I'm curious if anyone has successfully reset the permanent fault flag on their Battery Management System (BMS) after overcharging or over-discharging their batteries. Specifically, I'm using the built-in BSS on Samsung SDI batteries. Any advice would be appreciated!

I've seen that most BMS units will clear faults if you bring the voltage down below their preset threshold, so discharging the battery should help. But just a heads up, a user mentioned trying to discharge it below that threshold and when they attempted to reset it, they had no luck. Just be careful with that approach!
Which specific BMS are you working with? If it's the Samsung SDI ELPM482-00005, I've heard that these BMS typically reset the fault once the cell voltage drops below a certain level. Have you tried discharging the battery to see if that resets the flag?
