Hey folks! I recently had fiber internet installed, but the technicians couldn't run the line directly to my mechanical room due to the pavers outside and my reluctance to dig them up. Instead, they set up the fiber connection at the ISP box outside my garage, where I also have a Cat6 cable leading to the mechanical room. Right now, both the fiber and Cat6 cables are running under my garage door jam, which isn't the neatest setup. I'm considering running these cables through a conduit in the garage wall to tidy things up a bit. I'm handy, but I'm a bit nervous about drilling through my new wall—especially with concerns about sealing it properly to prevent water leaks. Would this project be difficult for a DIYer like me?

Conduit seems fine for your needs, but based on your description, you might just need a simple pass-through or bushing at the garage wall. Check out options online; they come in different sizes. Drill the hole, use something like that with silicone sealer, and you'll be all set. Just make sure to seal around any cables carefully!
It’s actually pretty straightforward! Just make sure to use silicone sealant around where the conduit meets the wall to keep it waterproof. You should be good to go!
Running the conduit isn’t hard at all. I’d recommend using an outdoor-rated electrical supply conduit, the fat grey kind. Just make sure you have a hole saw handy, and you’ll be set!

Does using Hardie board siding change any of that?
