How to Safely Clean Up Mold Under My Tiles After a Leak?

I've discovered mold under my tiles because of a leak in the floor. Now that I plan to remove the tiles, I'm wondering what I should use to mop the floor afterward. Also, where can I find these cleaning products? I'm concerned about the fumes from any chemicals I might use—how long will they linger in the air? Should I set up a fan to help ventilate the area by blowing the fumes out of the window?

To tackle the mold, the first step is to ensure that the subfloor is totally dry; a wet subfloor is a magnet for mold. Try using a shop vac to remove loose mold, and then spray a diluted bleach solution to disinfect the area. Just a heads up, a bit of spore release during vacuuming is normal, but it shouldn't pose a risk for healthy adults.

I’d recommend mop cleaning with soapy water to start, let it dry, and then a quick spray of Lysol to help with any remaining mold. After a bit, wipe it again with plain water to rinse off any residues.
