I live in an old house with lath walls and need to figure out the best way to install some shelves for nursery supplies. I'm concerned that command strips won't hold up under the weight. Does anyone have advice on how to do this effectively?

To securely mount your shelves, the best method is to locate the studs in your walls. This will give you a sturdy anchor point. If you can't find them or they aren't in the right place, you can use wall anchors as a backup option. Just make sure you assess the weight of the items you plan to store carefully!

Is drilling into these lath walls any different from drilling into regular drywall? Just want to make sure I'm doing it right!
