I just discovered a yellow jacket nest that's nestled in the ground right next to my raspberry plants. I'm looking for effective methods to get rid of them while also making sure I don't harm the soil or my plants. Any advice?

If you can find the entrance to their nest, you could try putting a garden hose down it. The water might help to drive them away. Just be sure to do it at night when they're less active!
I've found success with the RESCUE Disposable Yellowjacket Trap. It’s not strictly organic, but it works really well to draw them away from your garden. You can grab one at places like Home Depot.
One approach is to just wait them out. Yellow jackets tend to die off in the fall, so if they're not too much of a nuisance, that could be a simple solution.

Thanks for the tip! I’ll look into that. These yellow jackets have been a real pain! I’ll definitely try trapping first.
