I need some advice on the best and safest way to resaw wood using my table saw. I'm looking for tips or methods that will help me achieve the thickness I'm aiming for without risking safety. Any suggestions?

To resaw safely, I recommend making multiple passes and attaching an auxiliary high fence to better support the material. Leave a bit of material in the middle and finish with a bandsaw or a hand saw for the cleanest cut. Also, consider using a thin kerf blade.
That’s a great tip! You can even leave the middle thinner and just rock the top board back and forth until it splits apart. Just clean up the leftover ridge afterward with some sanding.
I swear by the Freud Industrial Glue Line Rip blade for resawing! It's stable and provides a smooth cut. Just attach an auxiliary fence as tall as your piece, and make several passes, raising the blade each time. Don't forget to use push sticks for safety.
Using a thin kerf blade is key here. Make light cuts and ensure the same side of the board is against the fence for each cut. If possible, a taller auxiliary fence can help stabilize the piece, and using a feather board will keep everything from slipping.

Definitely agree, a thin kerf blade can make a huge difference!
