I'm getting a little worried because my baby is starting to pull up on things, and I need to secure some tall hutches in our home. The problem is, there's a gap between these hutches and the wall because of baseboard heating. Any suggestions on how to anchor them safely without compromising our heating?

Those safety straps come under different names like seismic or earthquake straps. They’re just straps that mount to both the wall and the furniture. Check them out! Just make sure to get the heavy-duty ones, they provide better support even if the wall isn’t perfectly flush.
Using an L bracket or a safety strap is a solid option! You don’t need the strap to be super tight—just make sure the hutch won't tip over easily. If it leans but doesn’t completely fall, that’s usually good enough for safety.
How big is the gap you’re looking at? If it's quite wide, like 5 inches, I'd recommend using blocks of wood glued to the back of the hutch to fill that space and anchor it better.
Careful about placing furniture near baseboard heaters! I would avoid doing that if possible. It's not just about securing the furniture; you don’t want to risk any fire hazards. Just something to keep in mind!
