How to Set a Stop Block at 2 Meters on a Mitre Saw?

I'm new to woodworking and I'm planning to use a mitre saw for the first time soon. I need to make some cuts on 6-meter wide boards to end up with 4-meter pieces, so I'm wondering how I can properly secure a stop block at the 2-meter mark. I have a mitre saw along with its stand, but I haven't set it up yet, so I'm not sure how wide the whole setup will be.

If you can, just place the mitre saw 2 meters away from a wall. That way, it naturally acts as a stop when you're cutting. This is a straightforward method that could definitely work for you!

A simple way to create a stop block is to take another board that's longer than 2 meters, attach it to the mitre saw fence, and then fix your stop block to that. This will help you make accurate cuts. If you're cutting about 20 boards, just know you don't need to be super precise; you can get pretty close to the line easily even if you're a beginner.
