Hey everyone! I run a dog grooming salon, and recently one of the dogs cut its foot on a sharp edge of our metal tub. We're looking for ways to smooth out that edge to prevent accidents like this in the future. The tub is always wet, so adhesives aren't sticking well; we tried a stick-on rubber pad, but it only lasted a day. I'm considering using a Dremel to soften the edge, but I'm worried about making it worse. Any advice or alternative solutions would be greatly appreciated! I can share a picture of the edge if needed, but it's roughly a foot long.

Have you considered using a sheet metal edge guard? They’re designed for this kind of application and can help cover sharp edges efficiently. You can find options online or in auto parts stores to protect that tub edge.
If you're keen on trying a Dremel, just be careful; it can easily make things worse if you're not familiar with it. Be sure to check the thickness of the metal on the tub's edge; some of them are quite thin, and modifying them might not be the best route. Posting a picture could help get more accurate advice too!
Using sandpaper is a solid approach! Just start with a coarse grit and gradually move up to a finer grit until it's smooth enough to prevent any sharpness. Take your time with it, and make sure to keep checking the edge as you go!
You might want to try some automotive edge trim. It's pretty easy to find at your local auto parts store, and it works well for covering up those dangerous metal edges without damaging the tub itself. Also, I would recommend checking that any solution you use stays secure, especially since it will be exposed to moisture!
