I've recently moved into a small condo without any outdoor space, and I'm thinking about starting a mini indoor garden. I'm planning to use grow lights and even a small paintbrush to help things along. I'm interested in growing a tomato plant, a strawberry plant, and a zucchini plant. I know the zucchini and strawberries will take up some space, but it will only be for a few months before I switch them out. I'm particularly excited about the big zucchini, which I love using for dishes like zucchini parmesan and casseroles. However, I'm concerned about my cats possibly using my garden as a litter box. I don't want to invest time and money into this if it just turns into a bigger litter area! Any advice?

Try using scents that cats absolutely hate around your garden area. They usually won't go near it if they smell something unappealing!
Microgreens are a fantastic choice for small spaces! They grow super fast and work well on windowsills. Radish seeds are especially quick to sprout.
Growing tomatoes and zucchini indoors can be quite challenging due to their size! I wouldn't recommend keeping them on the ground because, yeah, your cats will definitely think it’s their new litter box. Consider using grow tents to help maximize light and keep your plants safe from feline interference! Plus, they help create a suitable growing environment for more than just veggies, if you catch my drift!

I've also started plants indoors under grow lights before, but I always had outdoor space for them to fully mature. It could be a fun experiment!
