I just got an Arduino kit and I'm completely lost when it comes to electronics. I don't have any prior experience, and I'll be honest, I'm not even sure what I need to learn. I'm eager to dive into building RCs and robotics, but I want to approach this hobby step by step. Any suggestions on how to start learning about electronics on my own?

I highly recommend the book *Make: Electronics* by Charles Platt. It's perfect for beginners and explains the fundamentals really well. Also, check out the *Encyclopedia of Electronic Components*; it’s super helpful as you progress. Both can usually be found online if you do a little digging!
Check out Paul McWhorter's Arduino tutorials on YouTube. They're fantastic for starters! He breaks everything down into easy-to-follow steps. Just search for his playlist and start from there!
Awesome, I’ll give that a shot. Thanks for the heads up!
Back in the day, we relied on beginner books for electronics, but nowadays, YouTube is a goldmine! Just look up beginner electronics tutorials. You’ll find tons of content on how to solder, understanding basic components, prototyping, and even diving into RC and robotics! Oh, and don’t forget to get a good auto-ranging digital multimeter – you’ll find it super useful. They’re usually around $25 and definitely worth the investment!

Thanks for the suggestions! I'll definitely look into those!
