How to Temporarily Fix a Weep Hole That Lets Water In?

I've got a problem with one of the weep holes on my window allowing water to seep into the house because the sill isn't angled correctly, causing water to pool in front of the weep hole. With rain expected today, I'm looking for a quick fix that can hold until I can sort it out properly. I want to avoid using caulk since it would harden and be tough to remove later. Would plumbers putty work, or do you have any other suggestions?

I learned that some weep holes come with a little flap that lets water out but keeps rain from pouring in. If yours has a design like that, it could help to keep things dry without sealing it completely.

Have you thought about using tape? You might want to go for something waterproof to stand up against the rain for a little while. Just make sure it doesn't come off easily!

Do you really think tape would hold up with the water pooling there? Just wondering if it’s a good solution for when there's heavy rain.

Last time I had this issue, I used a screwdriver to prop mine open on the lower side until I could fix it properly. It worked as a quick solution and kept the water from coming in. Might be worth a try!
