So, I recently jumped back into the plant game after a long break. I really wanted to take care of a marble queen pothos, so I bought all the right supplies: good soil, perlite, charcoal, worm castings, and even a moss pole. Unfortunately, the plant died within weeks! My partner thinks buying another one would be a waste of money. I've got a couple of little cuttings with almost no roots. Should I try putting them in water? And where can I find affordable cuttings?

It's totally normal for plants to die; it’s all part of the journey! If you enjoy being a plant parent, going for another one isn’t a waste at all. Each plant teaches us what to do better next time!
Marble queens can be tricky! I've had my share of struggles, too. To build your confidence, maybe go for a succulent or cactus instead. They’re much easier to keep alive and might help you regain your plant-parenting mojo! It's what I had to do after I somehow managed to kill a bear cactus. ?
I recommend snagging a small 4-inch pothos plant – they’re usually super cheap, around $7 where I live. Try chopping and propping it using some YouTube tutorials. With all the tools you've got, you can experiment! After you get a few established, maybe look into adding that moss pole or trying new fertilizers. You've got this!
If we're talking marble queen pothos, I've got plenty of cuttings to share! Just let me know if you need some. ❤️ They’re really rewarding once you get the hang of it!
Starting with easier plants can really help! I began with snake plants and some succulents near my window. A lot of beginners overwater, which is the main culprit in plant deaths. A dry plant can often bounce back, but love a little too much moisture, and it’s game over. I wouldn't have started with a marble queen, even years in, to be honest!
