Hey everyone! I'm dealing with a bit of a challenge in my garage. The height is only 2.5 inches, and getting my car in is a real struggle since the previous owners laid down tile flooring, making it really steep. I'm considering options for ramps—any suggestions? I see what you mean about the steepness! You could definitely create a ramp by mixing some cement, or if you want something simple, look for a rubber ramp online. They're pretty easy to find and might be just what you need to help you get in and out without damaging your car or the flooring.
I also noticed that steel piece in your photo. It looks like it might be an old floor brace for hurricane resistance—common in Florida! If you're going the ramp route, maybe check out some pre-made rubber ones first; they can save you a lot of hassle and are pretty effective as well.
Good eye! That probably explains why it's so heavy-duty. A rubber ramp could definitely be the way to go for now!

Yeah, cement ramps can be sturdy, but I'd worry about getting the smooth finish too. Rubber sounds like a solid option!
