I'm struggling with my small dining room. The dining table is just 36 inches wide in a room that's only 7 feet wide and 10 feet long. The chairs are bulky with curved backs, and we've had issues hosting because it feels too cramped. They're even scratching the walls! I'm looking for suggestions on how to make this space more functional. Does anyone know where to find a narrower table, perhaps around 30 inches? Or would it be worthwhile to look into having a custom table made?

Going less than 36 inches would make your table more bar-sized, which could work, but I'm not sure if that would limit your seating. You might want to consider putting the table against a wall to make room, unless that cuts down your seating too much. A picture would really help in figuring this out!
One of the easiest fixes could be swapping out those big chairs for something smaller. That could really free up some space!

I tried to add a picture but got a 'no attachments allowed' message. Definitely something to think about!
