I have a crack in my basement foundation that's letting in a decent amount of water. We recently bought this house, but we won't be able to move in for another three months due to my work contract. We've had a foundation specialist quote us $1500 for a polyurethane injection to fix the crack. Since we're not very handy and can only work on the house on weekends, I'm wondering if this price is reasonable and if this repair is worth it. What do you think?

It really depends on the type of crack you have. If it's vertical, redirecting water from the outside and fixing it yourself could be an option. For horizontal cracks, you'll need a structural engineer to look at it—$1500 could actually be a good deal in that case since just poly injecting might not be enough.
