Is $1900 a Fair Price to Replace My Concrete Approach?

I received a quote of $1900 for replacing a 12x11 triangle-shaped concrete approach. I calculated the cost for the cement to be around $675, so it seems the rest of the quote is for labor. Am I being unrealistic in thinking I could find a better deal in the metro Detroit suburbs?

Honestly, that quote seems pretty reasonable to me. Small concrete jobs can be tricky because of the heavy lifting involved, so the fixed costs and time make things a bit pricier than you might think.

To truly know if you're getting a good deal, I'd suggest getting 2-3 more quotes from other contractors. This way, you can compare prices and services offered to make a more informed decision.

You're probably missing some costs in your calculations. Removing the old concrete and taking care of all the associated waste isn't cheap; those things add up! Also, remember that labor includes a bunch of costs like equipment maintenance and insurance. It sounds like $1900 could be a fair price after including all that.

Totally agree! And don't forget about permits, if those are needed. It can really change the overall cost.
