I've been on the lookout for a good deal on the M12 Hatchet, and I recently found one priced at $179 with a military discount, which includes two 5.0Ah high-output batteries. I'm thinking about grabbing it since I could always use more of these batteries, but I'm wondering if I should hold out for potential better deals around Labor Day. What do you all think? Is this a solid purchase or should I wait?

Yep, looks like a solid deal if you're getting both the hatchet and the batteries. Can't beat it!
This seems like a good deal to me. Just pulled the trigger myself. Thanks for sharing, OP!
Honestly, I’d say go for it! I just bought this combo after seeing your post. I was considering a Ryobi saw, which would have cost me about $100 for a smaller model and $150 for a bigger one without a battery. This M12 deal looks much better value. Cheers for the heads up!

Right? The Milwaukee M12 saw is definitely an upgrade. Plus, it sounds so cool when you call it a 'burning saw'!
