Is 2 Inches of Rain in One Day Bad for Outdoor Plants?

I'm curious if a total of two inches of rain in a single day would damage my outdoor plants. I want to know if they can handle that much water, or if I need to take any precautions beforehand. Any advice would be appreciated!

Typically, if your plants have good drainage, they should be okay with that much rain. It’s all about whether the water can escape properly. If your soil is well-draining, you shouldn’t see any problems!

I keep my plants in pots with trays underneath. Should I remove the trays during heavy rain?
