I'm working on designing a board gaming table and have the top set at 30.5 inches high. The apron will be 25 inches above the floor, and I'm wondering if this will provide adequate leg clearance for players. Will their knees fit comfortably under the table at this height? Any advice would be appreciated!

It's a good idea to check the height from your floor to your bent knee and add some extra space. For example, if your knee height is around 23 inches, 25 inches might be okay, but it could be tight for taller folks. Just be cautious and maybe plan for a bit more clearance if possible!
That could be a pretty snug fit. Taller individuals or those with longer legs might find it uncomfortable, especially if they have to sit sideways or lean awkwardly. Just keep in mind that you want everyone to enjoy the game without discomfort!
I get that you want to keep the tabletop around 30 inches. Have you considered bumping it up to 32 inches instead for about 27 inches of clearance? I hear that extra inch can really help people settle in better.
I believe the minimum should be at least 28 inches for comfort. Most standard tables I've seen have more than that, allowing for comfortable leg space, especially for taller individuals.
I've checked tables in several homes, and they all seem to have less than 28 inches clearance from the apron to the ground, with plenty of tall people fitting under them just fine. Are you suggesting the tabletop height needs to be higher, or is there a compromise we could find?

My roommate is over six feet tall, and he measures his leg from knee to floor at 23 inches. He feels that having 2 inches of clearance is enough, but I get the feeling many here think 25 inches might be a squash for taller people.
