Is $300 for 3 tons of gravel a fair price?

I'm looking to spruce up my front yard and found someone local who will deliver 3 tons of gravel for $250, but there's an extra $50 for delivery, bringing the total to $300. I'm based in central coast California. I think it sounds okay, but I could really use some advice to confirm if this is a good deal or if I should keep looking. What do you think?

Regional differences can really affect prices. That deal is okay if you're getting a decent type of gravel. Just make sure to check if others in your area have similar pricing before you buy.

Yes, getting quotes from multiple vendors sounds smart. You never know what deals might be out there!

Exactly! Always a good idea to have a few quotes to make sure you’re getting the best deal.

I just paid $150 for 3 tons with delivery from Home Depot not long ago. If you’re getting something similar, it’s worth checking out more options! You might get a better price somewhere else.

Can you share the link to the gravel you ordered? That's a fantastic price!

Good deal! Sometimes big stores have periodic discounts, keep an eye out.

I think you could find cheaper options if you call around. I recently paid $120 for 3 tons in a rural area. It's all about local pricing, but talking to a few suppliers could reveal better deals.

That’s a huge difference! It's interesting how regional prices can vary so much.

True, just make sure you consider delivery costs too when comparing!

It sounds like a decent price! Around my area, the price per ton is often around $50-$70, plus delivery fees. If you factor in the delivery cost, this seems quite reasonable, especially in California where prices tend to be higher.

Yeah, the $50 delivery is what makes it a good deal, especially if you consider how much you'd spend driving back and forth from a store.

Definitely shop around to compare, but if it's a type of gravel you like, don’t let it pass!
