I received a quote for a 10' × 20' x 4" concrete slab with rebar and a broom finish for $4500. I'm located in Lane County, Oregon, and I'm trying to figure out if this price is fair. If it's close to average, I might have to find a different solution since even a $1000 variance would put it over my budget.

Hey! I’m also in Lane County and I think your quote is actually on the higher side for our area, but it’s not outrageous given how costly concrete work can be here. I’d recommend getting a few more quotes to compare. It could give you a better idea of where you stand.
Before you decide, check what the quote includes. If it covers slab preparation, formwork, materials, and labor, then it might be a decent deal. Just like others said, definitely get a minimum of three quotes to compare prices.
Concrete pricing typically runs between $10-$20 per square foot for a 4-inch slab based on factors like location and site access. So for your size, your quote seems in the right ballpark but definitely look around. It won’t hurt to see what other contractors offer.
