Is $70 a Good Price for a Used M12 Fuel Impact Drill?

I'm considering buying a used M12 FUEL hammer drill from a seller who's asking $70. The deal includes a 1.5ah, 3.0ah, and 6.0ah battery. I'm debating whether this is a good buy or if I should just spend about double for a new set with fresh batteries. What do you all think?

Honestly, I wouldn’t risk it. The tools appear well-used, and I doubt the batteries are still in great condition. There's a good chance at least one of them might fail soon. It might be better to wait for a sale at Home Depot for a new setup that you know will last.

It really depends on the condition of the tools. If the hammer drill has some damage, it's a bit risky, but you could save a decent amount compared to buying new. It might be worth it as long as you’re okay with possibly being out $70 if it doesn’t meet your needs. Just check if it's still under warranty and if that warranty transfers to you, if that helps you feel more secure about the purchase. For me, I usually save up for new tools since I want that reliability.

That makes sense, I’m still new to this. Maybe I'll offer him $60 as a尝试. I just want something that works for a few projects a year.

I'd recommend passing on this and just getting a new kit from Home Depot. The peace of mind with a full warranty and knowing all your tools are reliable is worth it, especially if you're a new homeowner like me. Plus, you don't have to worry about battery life issues later on!
