I just received a quote of $9,500 for lining 65 feet of my drain pipe, which is steel inside the house and terracotta outside. My home is 95 years old and I'm in Westchester, NY. We're certain there's a leak inside the house, but a sewer scope showed that the pipe is not collapsed and should be suitable for lining. I'm wondering if this price is reasonable or if I should shop around more.

If you haven't already, consider getting a quote for a complete repipe or selective repipe too. Sometimes, depending on the situation, that could be a better option. Also, check into pipe bursting as a possibility; it replaces the existing pipe and is often priced similarly to lining.
That sounds comparable to what I paid last year. I did pipe lining in NJ, and it cost me about $10k for 50 feet. It’s worth it when you think about not having to dig up your yard, especially if your line is under tough spots like a retaining wall.
I didn’t realize lining orangeburg pipes was even an option! Just a heads up, for something this significant, you might want to get three estimates before moving forward.
