Hey everyone! I'm diving into woodworking and considering investing in some quality tools. I've come across a Festool OF 900 E router that's about 20 years old. The seller claims it's been used sparingly in the last decade, and I'm wondering if it's worth it or if I should just pass. If it's a good option, what should I check before making the purchase? Thanks for your help!

Router technology hasn't really evolved much over the years, apart from some added features. If the price is around €90/$105 and it's in good condition, I'd say go for it! Just make sure to check it thoroughly before buying.
Just a heads up, this router uses a 1/4" shank, which means it won't accommodate 1/2" router bits. If you're okay with using 1/4" bits, then it shouldn't be a big deal. Many beginners find that 1/4" bits are perfectly fine for most projects. Let me know if you want more details on this!
