I received a quote for $3,000 for about 50 square feet of a herringbone backsplash (using 2x8 tiles), which includes labor and materials but excludes the tile itself. This area has 5 outlets and one square 3x3 window, plus 2 sections of Schluter. I'm curious if this price is reasonable, as I know there are many factors to consider.

Herringbone patterns are definitely more complex and usually require about twice the labor compared to a standard layout. So, the quote you got isn't too far off from what I'd expect for that style.
In the Atlanta suburbs, I’d say that’s actually an excellent price for a herringbone backsplash of that size. Just be cautious and ensure you're hiring a solid company.
There's a bit of a mix in opinions here. I’d also agree with getting three to five quotes. If you decide to go with the lowest offer, just make sure to check references and look at their previous work. A lot of people end up with shoddy tile jobs from cheap bids.
Honestly, that price sounds low to me! I’d definitely suggest getting at least three quotes just to be sure you're getting a fair deal.
In the Midwest, I think that quote is pretty good. Just make sure the contractor is reputable and has solid reviews.
You mentioned the quote was from a licensed and reputable company, which is great! Having five stars on Google from over 50 reviews says a lot. It's reassuring to know that the price is likely fair.
