I'm replacing a lot of the cedar siding on my house and I'm thinking about using a nail gun for the job. Specifically, I'm considering the 20V DCN920B framing nailer. However, I've come across mixed reviews and I'm worried about issues like sinking the nails too deep. While I prefer going cordless, I'm wondering if I should stick with a pneumatic 15-degree siding nailer instead. What do you all think? Any recommendations would be really helpful!

Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend using the framing nailer for siding. You might end up having to dial back the pressure quite a bit; otherwise, it could blow out the entry points. I’d go for a 15-gauge nailer and make sure to use galvanized fasteners for siding work.
It’s definitely best to stick with the tool that’s designed specifically for the job. A siding nailer is your best bet here! You’ll get better results and avoid any issues with the framing nailer.
