I'm considering getting the M18 1/2 mid torque impact wrench for working on my F150. I'm curious if this tool will be sufficient for changing tires or if it's overkill. I want to start doing my own tire rotations and oil changes. Any insights would be appreciated!

You could even use the M12 Stubby for lug nuts since anything rated over 150 ft-lbs should do the trick. Just a heads up, though—if you're dealing with axle nuts, that might be a different story. Also, make sure to grab a torque wrench if you want to ensure your lug nuts are tightened to spec!
I actually keep one in my F150 work truck, and it handles lug nuts like a champ! Never had any issues at all removing them, so I think you'll be just fine with that impact wrench for tire changes.

Thanks for the quick replies! I actually have most M18 batteries already and a torque wrench that's been serving me well. Just looking for a new tool and there are so many options out there—appreciate the help!
